About Green Tea

Located at 7205 Waters Ave, Savannah, GA 31406, Green Tea operates as a chinese restaurant serving Savannah in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Savannah; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Georgia are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (912) 691-0330. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, greenteasavannahga.com.

Savannah is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Savannah follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I went to this restaurant the other day and ordered something new for the first time. It was a teriyaki chicken with the white rice. When I open the plate, I saw something green inside. I didn’t know that it came with vegetables again. I just moved the chicken off to the side on the rice to look at the plate, cause I did not know what all was in the meal as far as the vegetables. I tasted a small piece of the chicken to see if I would like it and I didn’t. The sauce was nasty and I didn’t like the chicken. I went back to the restaurant, letting them know I didn’t like the chicken and asked if I can exchange the meal. The crew member that took my order told me I could then he said I had to speak with the manager. I said OK no problem I had to play with me. I showed him the plate. I told him what happened. I taste a piece of chicken move the chicken over to the side where the rice was at on top of it because I saw it was a vegetables didn’t know it had vegetables in it. The owner accused me of eating more than what I told him I had which was a piece of chicken he argued me down saying I ate the food I say, sir where did I eat the food? He said you just say you had a piece of chicken

Best Chinese food I've had in a long time! My favorite in Savannah. If you're looking for more flavor in fried rice, there isn't a lot. I think it's because people complain about too much sodium in things but the General Tso chicken was crispy and good. It wasn't spicy but it was delicious otherwise. The shrimp fried rice was tasty and the fried wings were crunchy and delicious. Everything so far was satisfying. Edit: Do not order as soon as they open or do a scheduled order. I doordashed from here and they gave me old rice and stale chicken. I'm docking one star.
